The Wait Begins

I've submitted queries...I'm a little nervous.

  1. Just remember two things --

1)Don't take rejections personally. I know that's hard but it's not personal. It's not about you it's about your story. And that doesn't make any sense right now but it will later.

2)Work, work, work on something else while you query. It will take your mind off the query process (hopefully) and when the 'call' does come, you can tell the agent you have another book all ready to go, possible allowing you to get a two book deal.

I don't know if you've read my 5 Stages of Querying article -- it's posted on my sidebar. I've heard it's helped some people.

Best of luck as you head into query-land.

  4. Go YOU! Every rejection is one rejection closer to an acceptance. Good luck!

Leave some chocolate while you're at it.
